A　New　Village

　　Sep. 15 Sunday Fine

　　Yesterday we went to visit a village. On our way to the village, we were glad to see a lot of nice rice, vegetables and fruit in the fields. Also we saw new schools, factories and buildings.

　　We got a warm welcome at the village. Some farmers invited us to their houses. They had moved to the new buildings. Their living room was large and bright. In it there were all kinds of new furniture. Nearly every family had colour TV sets, fridges,washing machines and some of them even have bought motorbikes. Everyone had a smile on their faces. It was said that some guests from a foreign country would come to visit it.

　　We were very glad to find the farmers’ life had changed a lot. We hope their life will become better and better. 9月15日星期天晴

　　昨天我們?nèi)ヒ粋€村莊參觀。在路上，我們看見了地里長勢很好的稻子、蔬菜和果子。還看見了學(xué)校、工廠和樓房。

　　我們在那兒受到熱情的接待。一些農(nóng)民邀請我們?nèi)ニ麄兗依镒隹�。他們都搬進(jìn)了新樓房，客廳又寬敞又明亮，里面有各種各樣的新家具。差不多每家都有彩電、冰箱、洗衣機(jī)，有些人家還買了摩托車呢。每個人臉上都洋溢著笑容。據(jù)說，尸些外國客人就要來了。

　　我們真高興農(nóng)民的生活變化這么大。我們祝愿他們生活得越采越好。

　　We couldn’ t believe that it was a village. The buildings for the farmers were very beautiful, the streets were very clean and there were many flowers in front of the houses. In the middle of the village there was a school with a wonderful building and a large playground. All the children in the village study there.

　　The farmers got richer by planting vegetables and raising silkworms. In their houses there were colour TV sets, fridges,washing machines, new furniture and even motorbikes. All these showed the farmers’ life was getting better and better.

　　The great changes had attracted foreigners. Today some of them would come to visit it. We were ha y for the farmers. We hope the farmers will be richer and ha ier.

　　我們簡直不能相信我們看到的是一個山村。農(nóng)民的房子很漂亮，街道很干凈，家家門前有鮮花開放。村中央有一所擁有一座教學(xué)樓和一個大操場的學(xué)校。村里的孩子都在這兒上學(xué)。

　　農(nóng)民們靠種萊和養(yǎng)蠶致富。他們家里有彩電、冰箱、洗衣機(jī)、新家具，有的人家還買了摩托車呢。這一切都表明農(nóng)民的生活變得越采越好了。

　　巨大的變化也吸引了外國人，今天就有外國人來參觀。我們真為他們感到高興。我們祝愿他們富足美滿。

Asking　for　Sick　Leave

　　Dear Mr. Li,

　　I’m sorry to tell you that I’m not feeling well today. I’ve had a headache and a cough. I didn’t sleep well last night. I went to see the doctor this morning. The doctor told me I had caught a cold, and I should stay in bed for two days. So I’m afraid I can’t go to school today and tomorrow. I hope I’ll be all right and go ack to school the day after tomorrow. Thank you.

He thanked Xiao Ming and said Xiao Ming’s English was very good. Xiao Ming was so ha y that he woke out of laugh.

　　我的同學(xué)小明昨天晚上做了一個夢。在夢里，他成為北京奧運(yùn)會一名志愿者。他努力幫助來自世界各地的外國朋友。在一家商店里，小明發(fā)現(xiàn)售貨員不明白一位外國朋友想買什么。小明上去幫助他們，接著小明向外國朋友介紹了北京。外國朋友感謝小明并說小明的英語非常好。小明非常高興以致于笑著從夢中醒來。

On the way Xiao Ming told him more about Beijing The foreign friend thanked Xiao Ming and said his English was good. Xiao Ming was so ha y that he woke out of laugh.

　　我的同學(xué)小明昨晚做了一個夢，他夢見自己成為北京奧運(yùn)會一名志愿者。他努力幫助來自世界各地的外國朋友。當(dāng)他在街上走路時，看見一位外國朋友很焦急，小明便上前去問。這個外國朋友告訴小明他不知怎么去工人體育場。小明告訴他離這兒不遠(yuǎn)，然后帶這個外國人去體育場。路上小明告訴他關(guān)于北京更多的事。這個外國朋友感謝小明，并夸他英語好。小明很高興以致于笑著從夢中醒來。
