PET診斷準備 

  在劍橋通用英語診斷中,KET、PET是目前小孩子參加得較多的英語等級診斷。一方面這類診斷注重考察孩子在 真實生活場景中使用英語的能力,能清楚地檢查孩子的英語水平。另外,通過準備,能鍛煉孩子的口語表達、邏輯思維和語言運用等方面的能力,為孩子 入學、出國留學打好基礎。

  更重要的是,近年來多個杯賽被陸續(xù)叫停,沒有報考年齡限制、全球認可的KET、PET證書成為家長們趨之若鶩的加分利器和入學簡歷“標配”。由于過于火爆,北上廣的考位常常一位難求,很多考生只能出省到外地參加診斷。

  診斷改革中口語部分的變化

  為了能更科學地測評孩子的英語水平,KET和PET診斷于今年1月起開始改革。不僅診斷的題型和內容會更新,而且還了口語考察的靈活性,對于考生的英語運用能力要求更高。

  診斷改革后考生和機構面臨的問題

  改革后的KET、PET診斷,也要求考生能夠用英語表達自己的觀點與情緒。這對于習慣于以過去的方式診斷的孩子來說,也將面臨諸多挑戰(zhàn)。如:口語不純正;主題詞匯和專項句型累積不足;邏輯思維、批判思維性思維缺失,無法完整表達觀點;不具備雙語思維,互動交際能力不夠等。為了補足這些部分,孩子需要進行技巧的點撥和大量的訓練。

  但對于部分機構來說,很難開設專門針對KET、PET的口語訓練班,只能在KET、PET的整體訓練中分出一部分課時來進行口語部分的訓練。而且受到課時及班級人數(shù)所限,每個孩子 鍛煉口語的機會較少,更別提在訓練中為孩子提供 真實的口語診斷環(huán)境了。

  出現(xiàn)這類的原因主要有以下幾點:1、在KET、PET診斷中,閱讀和寫作占總分數(shù)的50%,聽力和口語各占25%。而且口語相較其他技能而言, 很難在短時間內獲得明顯的效果。2、出于師資和坪效考慮,機構普遍只能進行 班級式教學,10~30個孩子一起上課,水平不一, 針對性不高。3、由于缺少優(yōu)秀外教,聽說讀寫均由 中教來培訓,很難保證語言輸出的準確性。4、缺乏相應的 評價手段。
