體系級別
KET診斷屬于劍橋通用英語先進(jìn)級,是英語入門診斷,是劍橋英語的一項(xiàng)基礎(chǔ)英語水平認(rèn)證。
PET診斷屬于劍橋通用英語第二級,是初級英語診斷,是劍橋英語的一項(xiàng)中級英語水平認(rèn)證。
詞匯量
從詞匯量來看,KET要求掌握的詞匯量為1500,PET要求掌握的詞匯量則多達(dá)3500個(gè),而通過之后,KET相當(dāng)于國際學(xué)校三-五年級水平,等同于歐洲委員會(huì)指定的歐洲語言教學(xué)大綱的(A2)水平,PET則相當(dāng)于六-七年級,對應(yīng)的是歐洲委員會(huì)指定的歐洲語言教學(xué)大綱的(B1)等級。

學(xué)習(xí)時(shí)長和報(bào)考人群
由于難度差異,KET的建議學(xué)習(xí)課時(shí)為90小時(shí),PET為120小時(shí)。KET的報(bào)考孩子主要大多數(shù)為小學(xué)四年級的孩子,也有程度很好的二、三年級孩子報(bào)名參加診斷,PET則為小學(xué)到初中年級的孩子,也有部分程度很好的四、五年級孩子。
是否建議跨級報(bào)考
有的家長可能會(huì)問,我想給小孩直接報(bào)考PET,行不行?
雖然KET/PET報(bào)考不受限制,但是如果不具備一定的英語基礎(chǔ),沒有經(jīng)過系統(tǒng)化的學(xué)習(xí),只是盲目跟風(fēng)突擊報(bào)考,突擊學(xué)習(xí),是非常容易導(dǎo)致診斷失利的,尤其是PET診斷,相較KET難度跨度大,孩子想要報(bào)考PET,起碼需要具備KET水平,打好基礎(chǔ)才能慢慢開始準(zhǔn)備診斷。
因此建議家長要遵循孩子語言學(xué)習(xí)和孩子認(rèn)知水平的發(fā)展規(guī)律,不能為了診斷而診斷,不具備相當(dāng)?shù)挠⒄Z能力不建議盲目跨級報(bào)考。
