　　1 . bring about 引起，實(shí)現(xiàn)，導(dǎo)致。如：

　　What brought about his illness? 他的病是怎樣引起的?

　　Science has brought about many changes in our lives. 科學(xué)給我們的生活帶來了很多變化。

　　2 . bring round

　　使改變觀點(diǎn)或看法。如：

　　They tried to bring him round to their views. 他們試圖讓他改變看法同意他們的意見。

　　使蘇醒。如：

　　I am sure our doctors will bring him around in no time. 我相信醫(yī)生會(huì)很快把他治好。

　　順便把某人帶來串門。如：

　　Why don’t you bring your wife around to see us sometime. 為什么不把你妻子哪天帶來玩玩?

　　3 . bring back

　　送還，帶回。如：

　　Please bring back the book tomorrow. 請明天送還這本書。

　　He brought me back in his car. 他用汽車把我送回家。

　　使想起，使恢復(fù)。如：

　　The old photo brought back many memories. 這張舊照片引起了許多回憶。

　　A week by the sea brought her back to health. 她在海濱呆了一周后就恢復(fù)了健康。

　　4 . bring down

　　擊落或打落。如：

　　We managed to bring down three of the enemy planes. 我們設(shè)法擊落了三架敵機(jī)。

　　注：有時(shí)也表示：使落下。如：

　　The pilot brought his crippled plane down in a field. 飛行員把失靈的飛機(jī)降落在田野里。

　　打死或打傷。如：

　　He aimed, fired and brought down the antelope. 他瞄準(zhǔn)羚羊射擊，把它打倒了。

　　使倒下，推翻。如：

　　The wind brought down a number of trees. 大風(fēng)吹倒了一些樹。

　　The scandal may bring down the government. 這一丑聞?dòng)锌赡苁拐迮_。

　　降低。如：

　　The government tried to bring down the price. 政府設(shè)法降低價(jià)格。

　　5 . bring forth 產(chǎn)生，引起，結(jié)果。如：

　　Trees bring forth fruit. 樹結(jié)果實(shí)。

　　She has brought forth a child. 她已生了一個(gè)孩子。

　　6 . bring in

　　收獲。如：

　　We brought in a good harvest last year. 我們?nèi)ツ戢@得了好的收成。

　　獲利，得到。如：

　　The sale of the house only brought in about $45，000. 房子只賣了大約45000美元。

　　介紹，引進(jìn)。如：

　　He brought in six new members last month. 他上個(gè)月介紹了六位新會(huì)員。

　　聘請。如：

　　They’ve brought in experts to advise on the scheme. 他們已聘請相關(guān)人士對這項(xiàng)計(jì)劃提出意見。

　　逮捕，抓入警察局。如：

　　Two suspicious characters were brought in. 兩個(gè)可疑的人被逮捕。

　　7 . bring off

　　從船上救出。如：

　　The lifeboat brought off all the crew. 救生船把船上所有船員都救了出來。

　　成功，設(shè)法做成。如：

　　It was a difficult task but I brought it off. 那是項(xiàng)困難的工作，但我還是終于把它完成了。

　　8 . bring on

　　帶來，造成，引起。如：

　　Dirt often bring on diseases. 臟東西常常引起疾病。

　　He was out in the rain all day and this brought on a bad cold. 他在外面淋了一天雨，因此患了重感冒。

　　促使成長或生長。如：

　　The hot weather is bringing the wheat on nicely. 因?yàn)樘鞖庋谉幔←滈L勢良好。

　　9 . bring out

　　取出，拿出。如：

　　He brought out his dictionary and looked the word up init. 他拿出詞典來查這個(gè)詞。

　　顯示出，揭示出，襯托出，使出來。如：

　　It brought out the meaning of the poem. 它揭示出了這首詩的意義。

　　This picture is very clear and brings out the wrinkles in her face. 這張照片很清晰，把她臉上的皺紋都照了出來。

　　The sunshine will bring out the blossom. 陽光將使花兒開放。

　　出版，推出。如：

　　He has brought two new books at the same time. 他同時(shí)出版了兩本新書。

　　This factory has brought out a new type of car. 這家工廠生產(chǎn)了一種新型汽車。

　　10 . bring over 說服，使改變。如：

　　You can’t bring me over by such an argument. 你這樣的論點(diǎn)不能改變我的看法。

　　11 . bring through 使度過。如：

　　They brought him through the cold winter. 他們幫他度過嚴(yán)冬。

　　He was very ill, but the doctors brought him through. 他病得很嚴(yán)重，但醫(yī)生使他轉(zhuǎn)危為安。

　　12 . bring together 使和解。如：

　　I’m not sure that John and his wife can be brought together. 我不敢說約翰與他妻子能和好如初。

　　13 . bring up

　　提出，提起。如：

　　Why brought that up again? 又提它干嗎?

　　In the course of study they brought up many questions. 在學(xué)習(xí)過程中他們提出了許多問題。

　　撫養(yǎng)，培養(yǎng)。如：

　　He was brought up in the country. 他在農(nóng)村長大。

　　She brought up five children. 他撫養(yǎng)了五個(gè)孩子。

　　嘔吐。如：

　　He was so ill that he brought up everything. 他病得很重，什么都吐了出來。

　　14 . bring sb sth 拿某物給某人。如：

　　Bring me today’s paper. 請把今天的報(bào)紙給我拿來。

　　Could you bring me that chair? 請幫我把那把椅子拿來好嗎?

　　注：該結(jié)構(gòu)也可說成 bring sth to sb。如上面兩句也可說成：

　　Bring today’s paper to me.

　　Could you bring that chair to me?
