　　4.persuade vt.說服;勸說

　　Don't let yourself be persuaded into buying things you don't really want.

　　I persuaded him not to smoke again.=I persuaded him out of smoking.我說服他不再吸煙了。

　　注意：persuade表示“說服”，強(qiáng)調(diào)說服的結(jié)果;advise表示“勸說，建議”，對(duì)方不一定接受，強(qiáng)調(diào)動(dòng)作。“勸說但不一定有效果”應(yīng)表述為：advise sb to do sth 或try to persuade sb to do sth。
